Hilti has been supplying post-installed mechanical anchors under a nuclear quality program since 1975. The Hilti nuclear quality program is designed to meet the requirements of ASME NQA-1 2000 and 10CFR50 Appendix B and has been assessed to be in compliance with the requirements of ANSI N45.2-1971, ANSI N45.2-1977, ASME NQA-1-1994 and ASME NQA-1-2008 including 2011 addenda and ASME NQA-1-2014.

Hilti anchors have been evaluated for use under the requirements of ACI 355.2-01 and ACI 349-01. The review was performed by a past chair of ACI committee 355, who provided a complete report outlining his findings.

This review was performed on the four Hilti mechanical anchors listed below.


The conclusion of the review was that the performed testing on all three anchors meets the intent of ACI 355.2-01 and ACI 349-01. These reports are available for your use and documentation. Specifically designed for the nuclear industry, Hilti now offers the HDA Ductile Undercut Anchor. This anchor has been developed in accordance with ACI 355.2-01/ACI 355.2-07 to meet the intent and requirements for design as ductile steel elements per appendix B of ACI 349-01/appendix D of ACI 349-06.
